Farmfrnd App - TERMS AND CONDITIONS

These Terms and Conditions (‘Terms’) govern your use of the Farmfrnd mobile application and platform (‘Service’). By signing up and using Farmfrnd, you agree to these Terms.
1.Eligibility
- You must be at least 18 years old (or of legal age in your country) to use the Service.
- You must provide accurate information during signup and transactions.
2.Account and Login
- Accounts are created via mobile OTP verification.
- You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account and activities under it.
3.App Permissions
Farmfrnd may request access to your device’s location, camera, storage, and microphone. These permissions are used only to enable core features such as product listing, transaction communication, and location-based services. You will be prompted to provide consent before such access is enabled.
4.Use of the Platform
- Farmers can list products, and buyers can connect directly.
- You agree not to misuse the platform (fraud, spam, illegal activities).
- Farmfrnd is a facilitator only — we do not buy, sell, or guarantee the quality of goods listed.
5.User Responsibilities: Farmers and buyers agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful product and transaction information.
- Ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods.
- Comply with applicable agricultural, food safety, and trade regulations.
- Avoid fraudulent, misleading, or harmful activity on the platform.
6.Transactions and Payments
- Transactions are between farmers and buyers.
- Farmfrnd may integrate payment gateways, but we are not responsible for delays, failures, or disputes between parties.
- Users must ensure compliance with local tax and regulatory requirements.
7.Marketing Consent
By registering, you consent to receive service-related communications (SMS, WhatsApp, push notifications). You may opt out of marketing communications at any time by contacting us or using in-app settings.
8.Content
- Users are responsible for content they post (product details, images, messages).
- You must not post misleading, offensive, or illegal content.
9.Limitation of Liability
Farmfrnd provides a platform ‘as is.’ We are not responsible for:
- Product quality, delivery, or pricing disputes
- Losses or damages arising from transactions
- Downtime, bugs, or service interruptions
10.Data Security Measures
We protect your personal information using multiple safeguards, including encryption of sensitive data, secure server hosting, limited access controls, and periodic security audits. While we take reasonable steps to protect your data, no electronic transmission or storage method can be guaranteed to be 100% secure.
11.Termination
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable laws.
12.Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service means you accept the new Terms.
13.Dispute Resolution
Any disputes between farmers and buyers should first be attempted to be resolved amicably through direct communication. If unresolved, the parties agree to submit disputes to binding arbitration under the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996 (India). The venue for arbitration shall be Kochi, India, and proceedings shall be conducted in English or Malayalam.
14.Compliance with Law
Farmfrnd complies with the Information Technology Act, 2000, the Information Technology (Reasonable Security Practices and Procedures and Sensitive Personal Data or Information) Rules, 2011, and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (DPDP Act). For users outside India, Farmfrnd will comply with applicable data protection laws in the jurisdiction of operation, including GDPR where relevant.
